When female funders invest in female founders — Wabbi raises $2M Seed led by Mendoza Ventures

“I am proud to announce that the largest check Mendoza Ventures has written to date has gone to a female founder,” said Senofer Mendoza, founder and General Partner at Mendoza Ventures “Investing in female founders is NOT a pipeline issue. It takes strong investors to write the check that’s needed to create change in the tech ecosystem.”

The $2M Seed round was led by Mendoza Ventures with participation by Cisco Ventures, Workbench, and NLA. Wabbi CEO, Brittany Greenfield will be transforming the cybersecurity ecosystem with her innovative application security platform. Based in Boston, Wabbi was founded in 2018 with the mission to continue delivering industry-leading technology to simplify continuous security management by ensuring code is always ready to ship in line with the most current security standards.

By creating a DevSecOps platform, Wabbi ties together potentially contrarian development ops with security ops, having a ripple effect that creates more unity and collaboration across the code development process, and across the company. This created continuous security, instead of a beginning and end to the code deployment process. With nine out of ten breaches coming from code breaches, a continuous loop of feedback is necessary.

“Mendoza Ventures isn’t just an investor, but a partner in driving forward Wabbi’s success.” said Brittany Greenfield CEO and founder of Wabbi “Their roll-up their sleeves approach, and deep industry knowledge makes them an invaluable asset on our team. We’re thrilled to welcome them aboard and look forward to the history we’ll make together.”
